Taline Sahakian is a partner in the New York office of Constantine Cannon. Ms. Sahakian joined the firm in December 2007 and concentrates her practice on antitrust and general commercial litigation, counseling and arbitration. Ms. Sahakian also represents whistleblowers in a qui tam case involving the government contracting sector. She has represented corporations in a variety of industries and before various courts.

Ms. Sahakian has also been involved in arbitration proceedings before the International Center for Dispute Resolution in the government contracting area. She has received mediation training from the American Arbitration Association.
Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Ms. Sahakian worked for two years in the antitrust and litigation departments of McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Montreal Canada where she was involved in defending companies in the context of governmental investigations relating to violations of competition law, preparing competition filings for mergers and acquisitions and defending clients in various civil litigation cases. Ms. Sahakian earned a B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University’s Faculty of Law in 2003 and is admitted to practice in New York.
Taline is the Vice-Chair of the Armenian Bar Association and a member of its Board of Governors. As part of her pro bono work for the Armenian Bar Association, Taline is a member of the Bar’s Working Group on the safeguarding of Armenian cultural and religious heritage in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) in the aftermath of a 44-day war with Azerbaijan in 2020. As part of that group, she has conducted research on issues related to cultural preservation, drafted reports to UN Special Rapporteurs, collected information and photos documenting destruction of cultural and religious heritage, performed interviews of clergy in the aftermath of the war, coordinated and worked with governmental authorities, members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, professors in art and archeology, and other non-governmental organizations on writing reports and letters and organizing conferences to raise awareness of issues concerning preservation of cultural and religious heritage in the Nagorno Karabakh region.
She has previously served as co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section’s Class Action Committee. She has been named to the Super Lawyers New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2016-2018. She is fluent in French and Armenian.
