DOJ Fraud Settlements

The DOJ settled False Claims Act and other fraud allegations with Hitachi Metals, Dignity Health, Biomet, Columbia University, First RF Corp., DaVita, Boeing, Extendicare, DRS Technical Services, among others, for a combined recovery this month of more than $600 million.  Many of these matters were initiated by whistleblowers under the qui tam provisions of the False Claims Act.
