Question of the Week — Will President Trump Kill the ACA?

By the C|C Whistleblower Lawyer Team

President Trump’s efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, have once again failed.  The Senate’s last ditch efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare collapsed last week.

In response, President Trump is threatening to let the health-care system relied on by millions of Americans fail.  Because the law relies on the federal government’s participation in various ways, President Trump has the power to severely undercut the law, even effectively killing it.  Just because he can, however, doesn’t mean he will.  Trump the candidate, after all, ran on a pledge to provide “insurance for everybody” and to protect Medicaid—the health program for lower income Americans that was expanded thanks to Obamacare and which provides the necessary health care for millions, including Trump supporters.

What do you think?  Will President Trump Kill the ACA?
