Goldman Sachs to pay $5B to settle financial-crisis claims — Goldman Sachs will pay $5 billion to resolve state and federal investigations into its handling of mortgage-backed securities in the years leading up to the 2008 financial crisis.  NPR

Health care clinic consultant and biller plead guilty to $63M fraud scheme – A former health care clinic consultant and Medicare biller pleaded guilty in connection with a $63 million scheme involving a defunct Miami-area health care provider where defendants directed the payment of kickbacks to patient brokers in exchange for referrals.    DOJ
