Flight attendants file whistleblower complaint against United – Thirteen flight attendants charged the airline with unlawfully firing them in retaliation for refusing to fly on a Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft after learning of a credible and specific threat to the safety of the aircraft, its passengers and crew.  Herald Online

Navy Commander pleads guilty in bribery scandal — A commander in the U.S. Navy pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges, admitting that he provided a government contractor with classified ship schedules and other internal U.S. Navy information in exchange for cash, travel and entertainment expenses, as well as the services of prostitutes.  DOJ

Former governor of VA Bob McDonnell sentenced – He was found guilty in September of trading favors in return for $177,000 in loans, vacations and gifts from a wealthy family friend and will now serve 24 months in prison in one of the most spectacular falls of a statewide official in the history of the commonwealth. Monster sues Beats Electronics for fraud – Monster alleges Dr. Dre, and Jimmy Iovine “improperly took control” of Beats through a “sham” transaction at the end of a partnership between Monster and Beats that had created the world’s most famous headphones brand.  LA Times
