 World Anti-Doping Agency report finds widespread state-sponsored doping by Russian athletes — “Across 323 pages, it implicates athletes, coaches, trainers, doctors and various Russian institutions, laying out what is very likely the most extensive state-sponsored doping program since the notorious East German regime of the 1970s.”  NYT

 California governor faces whistleblower’s charges — Jennie Catalano, a mapping specialist who has been with the California state Department of Conservation for 18 years, lodged a whistleblower complaint over being ordered to prepare a state map of the oil and gas potential, history and geology of Gov. Jerry Brown’s family ranch.  CNBC

U.K. Serious Fraud Office drops fraud case against Olympus — The case originated in 2011 when then-CEO Michael Woodford blew the whistle on an alleged $1.7 billion accounting fraud lasting 13 years that he discovered two weeks after taking the role.  Bloomberg

 Court rejects Mount Sinai hospital’s effort to dismiss whistleblower lawsuit — The lawsuit, brought by a current and former employee of the hospital, claims the radiology department engaged in widespread Medicare and Medicaid fraud.  Reuters

OSHA seeks input on whistleblower protection guidelines — “OSHA is accepting public comments on a draft document designed to help employers develop anti-retaliation plans to protect employees who raise concerns about workplace conditions.”  EHS Today

IRS whistleblower awards reduced next year — “For fiscal year 2016, awards paid to whistleblowers on or after Oct. 1, 2015, and on or before Sept. 30, 2016, will be reduced by the fiscal year 2016 sequestration rate of 6.8 percent, according to the IRS.”  Accounting Today
