Pharmaceutical company will pay $19.8M to resolve allegations it overcharged the VA for drugs — Sanofi-Pasteur agreed to the settlement, which resolves claims that it incorrectly calculated drug prices thereby overcharging the VA for drugs between 2002 and 2011. DOJ

Chief of FCPA unit to leave SEC after 17 years of service — The SEC announced yesterday that Kara Novaco Brockmeyer, Chief of the Enforcement Division’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit, plans to leave the agency later this month. “Under Ms. Brockmeyer’s supervision of the FCPA unit, the SEC has brought 72 FCPA enforcement actions addressing a wide range of misconduct and resulting in judgments and orders totaling more than $2 billion in disgorgement, prejudgment interest, and penalties.” SEC
