Australia to adopt US-style whistleblower laws? — Australia’s Financial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwye is considering the introduction of a “US bounty-style reward system as an incentive for whistleblowers,” among other measures. The minister was inspired by US laws that allow workers to be rewarded if the whistleblowing results in a successful prosecution. ABC Australia

India’s Infosys says investigation finds no evidence of wrongdoing — India’s Infosys said an investigation it commissioned had found no evidence of wrongdoing in accusations by an anonymous whistleblower, releasing the findings a day before it holds its annual shareholders meeting.  The accusations included improprieties in the acquisitions of Panaya Inc, a New Jersey-based provider of automation technology, and Skava, a Silicon Valley e-commerce startup, as well as allegations of inappropriate compensation paid to Infosys Chief Executive Vishal Sikka. New VA bill expected to be signed today — The “VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017” makes permanent an office established earlier this year to look into claims made by whistleblowers and to protect them from retaliation.  It also shortens the timeframes allowed for employee appeals of disciplinary actions and mandates that courts reviewing the actions uphold them if there is “substantial evidence” they are warranted. USA Today
