NFL’s concussion research worse than previously known – A New York Times investigation has found that the concussion research conducted by the NFL years ago failed to account for over 100 concussions players had suffered, resulting in rates that make concussions appear to occur less frequently than in reality. Novartis settles charges of accounting misconduct for $25 million – The healthcare giant agreed to the settlement with the S.E.C. to resolve allegations that it lacked adequate internal controls and failed to report illegal payments made in China to promote sales of its pharmaceuticals.
