Antidoping agency blocks release of study showing prevalence of track and field doping – The World Anti-Doping Agency blocks the release of its own study finding drug-testing protocols are not working.  NYT

New law requires greater disclosure on doctors’ gifts – Under the recently enacted Sunshine Act, pharmaceutical and medical device companies have to report all fees and gifts they provide doctors.  WSJ

Study says antipsychotics increase diabetes risk for kids – A just released study in JAMA Psychiatry finds that children who take antipsychotic drugs (such as Abilify, Risperdal, Seroquel and Zyprexa) have a threefold increased risk of diabetes.  USA Today

Manning sentenced to 35 years – A military judge sentences former army intelligence analyst Bradley Manning to 35 years in prison for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks.  Washington Post
