Question of the Week -- Do you agree Louisville must vacate its 2013 Championship?

Posted  February 21, 2018

By the C|C Whistleblower Lawyer Team

This week, the NCAA announced that University of Louisville must vacate its 2013 college basketball championship after finding Louisville coaches acted unethically by arranging prostitutes for prospective players and student athletes. Louisville had appealed the NCAA’s decision, but this appeal was denied.

This announcement comes as college basketball continues to be rocked by an FBI probe into the corrupt practices of many top basketball programs across the country, which led to the indictment of ten men in September 2017 for illegal recruitment practices. It is widely expected that this initial indictment is only the beginning, and that additional criminal charges will follow. There is thus the real possibility that more programs than just Louisville will be losing their right to call themselves champions.

What do you think? Do you agree Louisville must vacate its 2013 Championship?
