Alex Cohen

Alex Cohen is an associate in the New York office. Alex’s practice focuses on antitrust and complex commercial litigation.

Representative matters include:

  • Represent over 65 of the nation’s largest merchants as plaintiffs in antitrust litigation against payment card networks and issuing banks.
  • Represent large financial institution in residential mortgage-backed securities putback litigation.

Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Alex served as an Assistant Attorney General in the New York Attorney General’s Antitrust Bureau. While at the NYAG’s office, he investigated and litigated cases in a variety of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, financial services, advertising, and retail. Alex was a member of the trial team in New York v. Actavis, the NYAG’s groundbreaking product-hopping litigation in the Southern District of New York. During his tenure at the NYAG’s office, he was awarded the Louis J. Lefkowitz Memorial Award in recognition of superior service on behalf of the People of the State of New York.

Alex is also active in the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section and has served since 2015 as an editor for the Health Care and Pharmaceuticals Committee’s Health Care Antitrust Week-In-Review newsletter.

Alex is admitted to practice in the State of New York and United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
