Ari Yampolsky is an associate in Constantine Cannon’s San Francisco office.  He specializes in representing whistleblowers in qui tam lawsuits brought under the Federal and various state False Claims Acts, as well as claims made under the Internal Revenue Service and Securities and Exchange Commission’s whistleblower programs.  Ari has substantial experience in matters involving illegal kickbacks in the pharmaceutical industry, risk-adjustment fraud in Medicare Advantage programs, and billing fraud by long-term-care, psychiatric-care, and laboratory companies.  Ari was selected to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2016.

Previously, Ari was a fellow at Phillips & Cohen, LLP, which he joined after clerking for the Honorable Jane Branstetter Stranch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Honorable Kevin Hunter Sharp of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Ari graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was a member of the inaugural class.  During law school, he served as a senior editor of the UC Irvine Law Review and represented hotel workers in wage-and-hour cases. He also worked as a summer associate at a San Francisco law firm that focused on labor, employment, and civil-rights law.  Ari received his B.A. in Philosophy and English from Wesleyan University in 2000.

Between college and law school, Ari worked for the Service Employees International Union, helping long-term-care employees organize unions and lobby state officials to ensure that government funds were used to support living-wage jobs.

Ari is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Constitution Society’s Bay Area Lawyer Chapter.  He also serves as a member of the City of Berkeley’s Police Review Commission, which advises city officials on police policies and hears citizen allegations of officer misconduct, and volunteers as a supervising attorney in the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center’s Workers’ Rights Clinic.

Ari is admitted to the bar in California.  He is fluent in Russian.
