Elizabeth Taras joined Constantine Cannon in March 2017 as an associate in the New York office. Elizabeth focuses her practice on antitrust law.
Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Elizabeth worked as a Legal Fellow, Assistant Attorney General at the New York State Office of the Attorney General, Antitrust Bureau. Elizabeth was first exposed to the field of antitrust law during the summer after her first year of law school when she was a Legal Intern at the Federal Trade Commission’s Northeast Regional Office. Following her second year, Elizabeth was a summer associate at Fox Horan & Camerini LLP in their litigation practice group. In her third year of law school, she was a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division (Criminal I Section). Elizabeth has worked on various antitrust matters, including government merger investigations and civil and criminal litigation.
Elizabeth graduated from The George Washington University Law School in 2016. While in law school, she was a Research Assistant to Professor William E. Kovacic at The George Washington University Competition Law Center. Additionally, Elizabeth joined the Antitrust Law Association at GW Law School, serving as Vice President in her second year of law school and as President in her third year. Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude in 2013 from Adelphi University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Economics.
Elizabeth is fluent in Russian.
Elizabeth is admitted to practice in the State of New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section and the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Section, Coordinated Conduct Committee.
