Question of the Week -- Are You Excited to See Liam Neeson Portray Mark Felt?

The new film “Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House” stars Liam Neeson as Mark Felt, one of the most famous whistleblowers in U.S. history. Felt revealed in a 2005 Vanity Fair interview that he was the long-celebrated anonymous whistleblower known as Deep Throat. Many have credited Felt’s whistleblowing as a key to Nixon’s downfall.

Peter Landesman, the biopic’s director, believes that former Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein have long received too much credit in comparison to Felt for their role in bringing Nixon’s misdeeds to light. “The biggest mythology that’s being pierced is the fact that Woodward and Bernstein were the sole recipients [of information] which is not all true. Felt was puppeteering a number of people to help him to do the job,” says Landesman.

So far, critics have given the film mixed reviews. But many have praised Neeson’s portrayal of Felt as “standing tall,” “steely,” and “Oscar worthy.”

What do you think? Are you excited to see Liam Neeson portray Mark Felt?
