Nine banks settle charges of Forex rigging for $2 billion – HSBC, Barclays, JP Morgan, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, RBS, and UBS have agreed to settle charges that traders used chat rooms and instant messaging to manipulate foreign currency prices.  BBC

U.S. authorities seizing $1 billion in bribery investigation – Authorities are attempting to seize assets spread throughout Europe in connection with its investigation of whether companies bribed Uzbekistan officials in return for wireless frequencies and other deals.  Wall Street Journal

Missouri hospitals pay $5.5 million to settle False Claims Act allegations — Mercy Health Springfield Communities and its affiliate, Mercy Clinic Springfield Communities, have agreed to settle charges brought by a whistleblower that they improperly billed Medicare for patient referrals.  DOJ
