Food-supply giant to pay $15.5 million to State of Florida for inflated billing – US Foods will pay to resolve whistleblower allegations and a state investigation that uncovered its deceitful billing practice of not passing along discounts received from suppliers as required by agreements with the Florida Department of Corrections.  Law360

Empire State Home Care Services to pay $6 million to NY for Medicaid Fraud in cost-reporting – NY attorney general alleged that Brooklyn-based home health care service misallocated general capital costs and improperly reported salaries as “direct-care costs,” resulting in inflated Medicaid reimbursements.  WSJ

Lockheed subsidiary to pay $4.7M for improperly using federal funds to lobby Congress and federal agencies – Sandia Corporation will pay to resolve allegations that it violated both the Byrd Amendment and the False Claims Act when it used money allocated by Congress towards lobbying activities for a renewal of its national laboratory contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration.  DOJ
