Supreme Court sides with air marshal whistleblower – The Court ruled that Robert MacLean, who revealed that the TSA planned to withdraw surveillance from planes to save money, can seek whistleblower protection.  Washington Post

VA settles dozens of whistleblower complaints – The agency announced it has settled more than 2 dozen complaints from whistleblowers alleging retaliation after they reported on problems at VA hospitals and clinics.  Military Times

S&P to pay over $77 million to settle charges of ratings fraud – Standard & Poor agreed to settle charges with the SEC, New York, and Massachusetts involving fraudulent misconduct in its ratings of mortgage-backed securities.  SEC

Former mayor charged with wire fraud – The DOJ has indicted the former mayor of Dunkirk, New York, for engaging in a scheme to defraud his mayoral campaign and supporters by stealing campaign contributions for his personal benefit.  DOJ
