Giants and Eli Manning sued for selling fake memorabilia – Lawsuit claims they sold fake “game worn” jerseys and helmets to rip off fans and collectors, in part because Eli allegedly wanted to keep the real worn items for himself.  CBS

Whistleblower lawsuit charges Northrop Grumman with defrauding US – The action was filed under the qui tam provisions of the False Claims Act by a former Northrop employee and concerns a government contract to provide commercial airliners with a missile defense system.  Chicago Tribune

DOJ ups ante on BofA – The government is requesting $2.1B for Bank of America’s mortgage fraud scheme (nicknamed the “Hustle”) after an earlier request of under $1B was rejected by a federal judge.  WSJ

Snowden nominated for Nobel Prize – Two Norwegian politicians nominated the former NSA contractor turned whistleblower saying he has “contributed to a more stable and peaceful world order.”  NPR

Sochi Olympics whistleblower threatened – Valery Morozov, a Russian businessmen, says his life was threatened (“You will be drowned in blood!”) after publicly alleging officials in the office of President Vladimir Putin demanded payoffs in exchange for Olympic construction contracts.  ABC
