Investment company executives indicted for $1.5B Ponzi scheme — Three executives of Las Vegas-based investment company, MRI International, charged in an indictment on fraud charges for their roles in an alleged $1.5B Japanese Ponzi scheme.  DOJ

Three real estate developers sentenced to prison for their roles in $27.8M mortgage fraud scheme — Three Miami real estate developers sentenced to combined prison terms of 25 years for their roles in a mortgage fraud scheme that caused losses of $27.8M.  DOJ

Former military contractor sentenced to 54 months in prison for paying bribe to army officer during Iraq war — Former CEO of military contractor, American Logistics Services, sentenced to 54 months in prison for paying a $15,000 bribe to Lieutenant Markus McClain of the Army National Guard in exchange for the award of a contract.  DOJ

Two real estate investors plead guilty to bid rigging and fraud — Two Northern California real estate investors pleaded guilty for their role in bid-rigging conspiracies and mail fraud at public real estate foreclosure auctions in Northern California.  DOJ
