Indian banks reported at least one fraud every hour in 2017 — The crisis of confidence in India’s banking sector has come to a head, particularly over the last two months. First, there was the $2 billion loan fraud at Punjab National Bank (PNB) in February 2018 and then, in March, the alleged irregularities at ICICI Bank. Feds: Whistleblower at Blown Away Hair Salon in Kennett Square terminated — Federal authorities have filed a lawsuit against a Kennett Square hair salon, alleging owners of the business fired an employee because her husband reported alleged workplace health and safety hazards to the government. Prosecutors said that in March of 2017, salon employees were exposed to sewage and chemicals resulting from a plumbing backup and subsequent cleanup at the Kennett Square salon. The owners ignored stylists’ complaints of nausea and headaches. Daily Local
