Whistleblower says sponsors missing from action in war on doping —  Doping in athletics could be slashed overnight if sponsors showed any will to eradicate it, according to Steve Magness, the coach who blew the whistle on an elite Nike-sponsored athletics program but now feels like a pariah in the sport as a result. New Orleans business owner sentenced to 80 months in prison for health care fraud — The owner of medical supply company Psalms 23 DME LLC  was sentenced for his role in a $3.3m fraud in which his company billed Medicare for power wheelchairs, accessories and various knee, elbow and back braces for patients who did not need, and often did not receive or even want, this equipment.  DOJ

SEC charges stockbroker and friend with insider trading — The SEC alleges that Paul T. Rampoldi coordinated the insider trading with two other brokers as well as a then-IT executive at Ardea Biosciences.  The Ardea employee tipped one of the brokers ahead of the company’s announcement of an agreement to license a cancer drug and later tipped him in advance of its acquisition by AstraZeneca PLC.  SEC

U.K. voters must speak English to cut election fraud —  The former communities and local government secretary made 50 recommendations to cut election fraud in a report commissioned by former Prime Minister David Cameron after evidence emerged of electoral fraud in the east London district of Tower Hamlets.  Bloomberg
