Rhode Island based lab settles FCA suit for $815K – Dominion Diagnostics has settled allegations that it billed Medicare and Vermont’s Medicaid program for urine testing which was not ordered by physicians, but instead ordered by the lab itself. USAO Vermont
Whistleblower awarded over $78M for exposing pharmaceutical fraud – The whistleblower award for Beverly Brown was determined this week. Brown’s information lead to a $280M settlement with the Celgene Corporation over off-label drug marketing. The settlement is the second largest non-intervened FCA settlement to date. Daily Telescope
12 separate whistleblowers allege waste of public funds in Missouri county – The Missouri state auditor received 12 separate complaints about Greene county in the past three weeks.
