Score One for the Bank Whistle-Blowers – A recent Supreme Court decision on an important bank whistleblower case essentially confirms that some courts have been using too narrow a legal standard in determining what constitutes a false claim.  The allegations in the case date back to the financial crisis and claims against Wachovia and World Savings Bank, both now a part of Wells Fargo. Dermatologist Who Settled Federal Lawsuit Plans to Sue Whistleblower –  Dr. Gary Marder who recently settled a lawsuit accusing him of misdiagnosing patients announced plans to sue a whistleblower and several media outlets for defamation and libel.
