Financial Consultant Gets Five-Year Sentence for Bribes – “The former owner and president of Chestnut Consulting Group Inc. and Chestnut Consulting Group Co. was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment today for bribing an official at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.” DOJ

Employee of Government Contractor Admits Accepting Kickbacks – A former employee of a U.S. government contractor operating in Kabul, Afghanistan admitted to accepting $250,000 in kickbacks from an Afghan subcontractor.  In exchange, the employee directed $1.6 million dollars in sole source contracts to the subcontractor. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
