Ex-Bond Trader’s Jury to Decide Between Fraudster, ‘Guinea Pig’ – “A federal jury will determine whether a former Cantor Fitzgerald LP managing director’s tactics in trading mortgage-backed securities constitute securities fraud. David Demos ‘lied to his customers about important things to steal their money, and when he lied, he knew it was wrong,’ Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Cherry said Tuesday in Hartford, Connecticut. ‘That is securities fraud.’” Bloomberg

Massachusetts doctor convicted of obstructing Warner Chilcott kickback probe – “A Massachusetts doctor was convicted on Monday of obstructing an investigation into kickbacks paid by the drugmaker Warner Chilcott and of wrongly giving one of its sales representatives access to her patients’ information.” Reuters

London RCMP charge Toronto man in $6 million securities fraud – “A Toronto man is charged after a year-long investigation into an elaborate $6-million securities fraud scheme in which some investors were stung twice. RCMP say their investigation began last April with a tip from a London resident. Investigators eventually determined more than 100 people lost thousands of dollars each to ‘fake futures trades,’ the RCMP said.” London Free Press
