New Jersey construction company pays $1.5M to settle FCA suit  Ranco Construction, a company that executed many public construction contracts, has settled allegations that it paid workers a lower hourly wage than required by state and federal law while reporting to authorities that they were paying the lawful minimum wage. Ranco allegedly falsified payroll records to cover up evidence of the fraud.
