Mylan agrees to $465 million settlement in EpiPen pricing investigation — The embattled pharmaceutical company has been under investigation by state and federal regulators for repeatedly raising the price for the allergy treatment, which went from $100 for a two-pack in 2009 to $600 in 2016.  The settlement specifically refers to Mylan’s misclassification of the EpiPen as a generic, resulting in the company paying lower rebates to state health programs. Indian call center workers posing as IRS collection workers are arrested — The workers, who used a precise script to trick taxpayers into believing they owed thousands of dollars in taxes, earned 1.5 cents for every dollar they squeezed out of a victim. The Inspector General for Tax Administration says it has fielded more than 1.7 million complaints from victims who have lost over $47 million to such scams in the last three years. Pipe fittings industry insiders allege Victaulic evaded customs duties —  Customs Fraud Investigations used data mining of commercially available shipping data and examination of Victaulic products to uncover evidence that the firm mislabeled the country of origin of imported pipe fittings.  The False Claims Act suit says that each year for a decade Victaulic imported $150 million to $230 million worth of fittings that should have been subject to a 10 percent tax. Former NYC Human Resources Administration supervisor sentenced for defrauding public assistance programs — Cherrise Watson-Jackson had pleaded guilty to siphoning more than $1.8 million from the food stamp program and from another that provided rental assistance to low income tenants.  USAO-SDNY

Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission ordered to pay whistleblower $3.2 million — The judge found that Ralph Bailets was wrongly fired after he questioned a major computer contract, Commission hiring practices and how large trucking firms qualify for E-ZPass discounts.  Philly.com

Russian anti-piracy chief arrested for fraud — The head of the Association for the Protection of Copyright on the Internet has been charged with offering to drop a case against a well known pirate site in exchange for monetary compensation. He is said to have demanded as much as 50 million rubles to halt the investigation. TorrentFreak

Another FIFA-related guilty plea —  The former president of the Costa Rican soccer federation admitted taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes. Eduadro Li is one of 42 individuals and entities who have been charged in the U.S. investigation into FIFA corruption. Reuters
