CEO Convicted of Defrauding the United States – “A federal jury convicted the owner and chief executive officer of an armored vehicle company for his role in a scheme to provide the U.S. Department of Defense with armored gun trucks that did not meet ballistic and blast protection requirements set out in the company’s contracts with the United States.”  DOJ

 Activists Challenge Iowa Ag-Gag Law – “Animal rights and free speech organizations have sued the state of Iowa, challenging a 2012 law that made it illegal to get a job at a livestock farm through misrepresentation to conduct an animal cruelty undercover investigation.”  The Des Moines Register

DOJ and State Department Partner on Visa Fraud – “The Departments of Justice and State announced today that they have formalized a partnership aimed at protecting U.S. workers from discrimination and combatting fraud by employers that misuse visas.  The partnership, memorialized by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs, facilitates information sharing in an effort to help each agency advance its mission.”  DOJ
