Report details new fraud, theft in Detroit schools – The Office of the Inspector General for the Detroit Public Schools Community District released a report highlighting numerous instances of fraud and theft in Detroit public schools, including collection of $2.5K for a field trip that never materialized, an illicit in-school store run by a principal, and one employee’s false overtime claims totaling $59K.
