14 indicted for nationwide deadly fungal meningitis outbreak – The 131-count indictment include charges against pharmacists for second-degree murder for distributing contaminated prescriptions that affected hundreds and killed over 60 people. DOJ
IRS Whistleblower seeks permission to leave the U.S. – Bradley Birkenfeld, the IRS whistleblower who received a $100 million reward for helping to uncover tax fraud, and who also served jail time for helping others dodge taxes, is asking to have his probation terminated early so he can move to Europe. Hopefully Birkenfeld is allowed to go to Europe. He did a lot of good for this country and, as he has no reason to work as a banker again, recidivism is a pretty unlikely prospect.
