Seth Stern, Director of Advocacy, Freedom of the Press Foundation, a non-profit organization “that protects, defends, and empowers public-interest journalism in the 21st century.” It comes from his Opinion piece recognizing the Tenth Anniversary of Edward Snowden’s revelations of mass surveillance by the National Security Agency and the case study it presents on “the power of whistleblowers and journalists to alter the course of history.”
