Supreme Court Appears Set to Limit Protections for Company Whistleblowers – “Supreme Court justices on Tuesday sounded ready to bar whistleblowers from suing companies for illegal retaliation under a 2010 law if they’ve only reported wrongdoing internally, and not to the Securities and Exchange Commission.” LA Times

Cardiology Clinic and Doctors Settle FCA Claims for $1.2 Million – “Cardiovascular Consultants Heart Center (CVC Heart Center), a cardiology clinic with offices in Fresno and Clovis, and its shareholder physicians-Dr. Kevin Boran, Dr. Michael Gen, Dr. Rohit Sundrani, Dr. Donald Gregory, and Dr. William Hanks-will pay $1.2 million to resolve federal and state False Claims Act allegations that they improperly performed and billed federal and state health care programs for medically unnecessary cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, U.S. Attorney Phillip A.
